Negotiation

Dialogue between Parts where everyone keeps their dignity and nobody gets fired.

Description

Self-Leadership depends on negotiation, not domination. Parts have needs and conditions; you listen, paraphrase, propose trades (“If you let me rest, I’ll check the inbox after”). Done well, it produces Inner Alignment.

What Negotiation is NOT:

Bargaining with terrorists; guilt-tripping Parts; “win-lose.”

Examples:

Anxious planner agrees to limit prep time.
Firefighter gets a safe dopamine outlet (music, not doomscrolling).
Critic switches from attacking to QA.
