Polarization

Two parts escalate in opposite directions, both trying to protect the system.

Description

Managers and firefighters can lock into tug-of-wars (control vs. rebel). Self mediates, names fears, and helps them find non-destructive jobs around a shared goal.

What Polarization is NOT:

Healthy debate; dialectical reasoning; values clarification.

Examples:

Workaholic vs. “screw it” procrastinator.
People-pleaser vs. ice-cold withdrawer.
Strict dieter vs. late-night binger.
