IFS isn’t a one-time intervention; it’s relational fitness. Daily check-ins, journaling, Parts Mapping, and micro-unblendings maintain access to Self-energy. Practice keeps protectors informed and exiles connected, preventing backlog and crisis.

What Maintenance / Practice is NOT:

Perfectionism; constant self-monitoring; ignoring life outside your system.

Examples:

Two-minute morning scan: “Who’s up today?”
Thanking protectors before big meetings.
Scheduling rest after deep parts work.
